About this project
This iconic British heritage lifestyle brand required a sumptuous and stylish interior for their first men's concession within the Nordiska Kompanient store in Sweden. They decided to create an impact underfoot with statement flooring by SYLKA™.
Stylish design is synonymous with Mulberry so the aesthetics of the rug was paramount. SYLKA™ was commissioned to create a beautiful bespoke rug with the brief to recreate a watercolour brush stroke effect from an original painting. The exquisite river-like design was hand crafted using deep and moody tones, interspersed with paler hues. Sylka’s highly skilled artisan craftsmen carefully blended the coloured fibres during hand tufting to create the dramatic abstract design which makes a sumptuous statement underfoot.
Practicality was at the forefront of the project and robust properties were guaranteed by using a dream team combination of NuSilk™ and celebrated New Zealand wool to make this unique bespoke rug.
